One of the most popular symphonies of all time opens the 2023-24 season of the Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera, exploring American themes. Dvořák’s towering masterpiece, Symphony No. 9, “From the New World” anchors a program with Copland’s beloved Lincoln Portrait, and Vaughn William’s Te Deum in G featuring the SP&O Chorus. Known for her incisive presence on the podium, conductor Cosette Justo Valdés leads the Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera and SP&O Chorus.
