In 2022, she made her San Francisco Opera solo debut as Sister St. Charles in DIALOGUES OF THE CARMELITES and returns this fall as Warren’s Wife in THE HANDMAID’S TALE. Also this season, she makes company debuts with Sacramento Philharmonic & Opera as Marcellina in LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, Festival Opera as Witch 1 in DIDO & AENEAS, San Francisco Choral Society as the Alto Soloist in Mendelssohn’s ELIJAH, and with Sonoma County Philharmonic as the Alto Soloist in Beethoven’s 9th SYMPHONY.
Other opera highlights include Berta in THE BARBER OF SEVILLE with Opera San José, Olga in EUGENE ONEGIN and Mercédès in CARMEN with Florida Grand Opera; Hannah in THE PASSENGER with Detroit Opera; Meg in LITTLE WOMEN with Madison Opera; Mrs. Ford in SIR JOHN IN LOVE with Odyssey Opera; Cherubino in LE NOZZE DI FIGARO with Opera Saratoga, and performing the title role of CARMEN worldwide aboard Azamara Club Cruises.
A lover of new music, Ms. Miller has created many roles, including Mina Miller Edison in TESLA (Kievman/Babe), and has debuted and workshoped works with American Lyric Theater, Juventas New Music Ensemble, Opera San José, and the Boston Art Song Society, and has portrayed characters like Sister Helen in DEAD MAN WALKING (Heggie/McNally), and The Wind in THE WITCHES OF VENICE (Glass/Montresor).
An award-winning recitalist, Ms. Miller curates compelling programs that highlight female and queer composers. Her art song cabaret Tell me the truth about love, with collaborator Kevin Korth, debuted in 2024; Out for blood tours next year. Ms. Miller is also a committed educator and mentor, works with the San Francisco Opera Guild, and is an advocate for arts education outreach.
